An orientation class is required for all baptism candidates and these are held 2 weeks before the actual baptism on Sunday mornings. Adult and children's orientation class are held separately on the same day. The children's class is taught by Pastor Danielle Christy and is at 9:15am, the same day but different time as the adult class (11am) which taught by elder Tim Schwiebert. Martin Luther wrote of the book of Romans: 'This epistle is in truth the chief part of the New Testament and the purest Gospel. It would be quite proper for a Christian, not only to know it by heart word for word, but also to study it daily, for it is the soul's daily bread. It can never be read or meditated too much and too well. The more thoroughly it is treated, the more precious it becomes, and the better it tastes.' Every serious believer longs to summon up the kind of boldness and faith that can stand firm on Mount Carmel and pray down heaven into impossible situations. Yet few are willing to go through the process required to get them there. Strength of faith, character, and boldness can only be shaped in the hidden fires of silence, sameness, solitude, and adversity. And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now. Online: Grace Women - Colossians

When: Friday, 11:00 AM

Taught online by Carol McCall on Fridays, January 29 - March 26 from 10:00-11:30 am.

Colossians was written to correct false teachings and remind Christians of the sufficiency of Christ. Instead of focusing on the details of the heresy, Holy Spirit flowed through Paul to remind believers of the Truth. As we study Colossians together, we will exalt Christ as God, the Creator, the preexistent sustainer of all things, the head of the church, the first to be resurrected, the fullness of deity, and the reconciler. We will be reminded that God is All-Sufficient and completely adequate. We'll study redemption, forgiveness, and instructions to the church. This will be a verse by verse study and we will spend some time each week together in worship, thanksgiving, and prayer. . Materials Needed: Bible.

Online: Grace Women - What Do You Seek?

When: Tuesday, 10:00 AM

Taught online by Pam Wagner on Tuesdays, February 2 - March 23 at 10:00 am.

Jesus posed this question to two of John's disciples who left the Baptizer to follow Jesus. "What do you seek?" A valid question for us today. Why do we follow Jesus? What are we expecting when following Him? I love the fact that Jesus requires us to think and to know why we are doing what we are doing,"reasoning together" with Him. This class is a study of the works and heart of Jesus, discovering the joy of relationship with Him. Materials Needed: Your Bible is a must, notebook an option.

An invisible war constantly rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you're tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you. The Enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. This study offers an action plan for putting on the armor of God and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory. Materials Needed: The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer. One of the greatest ways we can do this is through Conversations with Purpose - learning and growing together through healthy, life-giving conversations that will encourage, inspire and strengthen us in our daily walk with Jesus Christ. Each week prior to our connection, you will receive a Scripture, devotional thought and/or question(s) as the platform for our time together. Materials Needed: Bible and an encouraging heart.

Online: Grace Women - Get Out of Your Head

When: Thursday, 10:00 AM

Taught online by Nance Longworth, Thursdays, February 4 - March 11 at 10:00 am.

It is no secret that for many of us the greatest spiritual battle we face is taking place between our ears. During these times of "COVID isolation" we are especially vulnerable to the enemy's attack bombarding us with false thoughts about who God is and how He is working in our lives. In this study we will have the opportunity to stop our spinning minds and reclaim our thinking patterns as we work through the book of Philippians. The apostle Paul tells us "to take every thought captive" and we will learn practical tools and resources for initiating and maintaining that process. This is a great way to start the new year with a resolution to "renew your mind" and stop the spiraling toxic thoughts that keep us from living the life God has for us. Materials Needed: Get Out of Your Head Study Guide: A Study in Philippians by Jennie Allen. ISBN-13: 978-0310116370
