Wednesday, March 13 - April 17, 2019
7:00pm - 8:15pm in room 220
Facilitated by Betsy Dobrotka

Very rarely in the Bible does God command someone to "stay." He opens a door, and then he invites us to walk through it—into the unknown. And how we choose to respond will ultimately determine the lives we will lead and the people we will become. Bestselling author John Ortberg opens our eyes to the countless open doors God places before us every day, teaches us how to recognize them, and gives us the encouragement to step out in faith and embrace all of the extraordinary opportunities that await. So go ahead—walk through that door. You just might do something that lasts for eternity.

Wednesday Women's Bible Study is a great place to fellowship and make new friends as we grow together in the Lord. No preregistration - just come! For more information contact Betsy - betsy@gracecovenant.org

Grace Women - Galatians (GCC)

When: Thursday, 10:00 AM    Where: 17301 Statesville Road Cornelius, NC 28031

Galatians
Carol McCall

Most of us have learned the lesson that in order to receive acceptance or approval in our culture we need to do things to earn it. That isn't something new. The Christians in Galatia were listening to people who told them their salvation depended on faith and works. Holy Spirit flowed through Paul to correct this false teaching and reveal that salvation is by faith. Nothing should be added. A Christian who understands this precious gift then responds with love and appreciation for the abounding love, grace, and mercy of God. As we grow in Christ Jesus we choose to yield to and be led by Holy Spirit so that our life is transformed - from the inside out. Come join us as we study this book of the Bible and discover the treasures it reveals, including what it means to be justified by faith.

The Wellness Revelation
Shannon Lee

Let's face it ladies, it's difficult to be healthy in this day and age when everything is so appearance driven and all the ads saying that we need to drink this or eat that "superfood" that will transform our entire being! God wants so much more for us!!!! We all have weight issues and it can't be measured on the scale! Our weight issues are in our hearts! 1 Thessalonians 5:23 acknowledges that we are a spirit, soul, and a body. This study will address each area to help change the way we perceive ourselves and lay out strategies to improve our health. This time the change will occur from the inside out! God wants to free us from whatever is weighing us down, whether that be physically or emotionally, and it very well can happen while we are sweating during this time together! We will learn the living and practical truth of what it takes to be healthy and whole (heart, soul, strength, and mind) while loving others as ourselves!

When: Thursday, 10:00 AM    Where: 17301 Statesville Road Cornelius, NC 28031

Victory Over the Darkness
Teacher: Pat Pennino

It's Jesus' promise to you - the promise that you live triumphantly. But what keeps you from really walking in the joy of the Lord? The powers of darkness attack us daily. However, as Dr. Neil Anderson shows in Victory Over the Darkness, you can have the power to conquer them by knowing who you are in Christ. In this study you will learn to:

• Realize the power of your identity in Christ.
• Free yourself from the burdens of your past.
• Stand against the spiritual forces of this world.
• Win the battle for your mind.
• Become the spiritual person you want to be.
• Discover the truth about God's view of you.

I hope you will join me as we learn to apply the truths of Scripture as a base from which to renew your mind and become the person Christ has planned, purposed and empowered you to be.

"You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32

What's the most important skill you need to be successful? If Christianity is true (and it is), the most important skill we all need is how to interpret the Bible properly. If we can't do that, we risk making the wrong decisions and failing to become the kind of person God wants us to become. Dr. Frank Turek will continue the series he started this fall called "How to Interpret Your Bible" (last fall meeting is Monday, December 10). This series is intended to give practical insights and tools to everyone, regardless of skill level or experience.
