A Study of 1 Peter (GCEL)

When: Wednesday, 10:00 AM

Do you want to be better equipped to honor Jesus Christ with your life, despite the influences of an ungodly culture? Do you want instruction that will help you be ready to share the hope that is in us, with gentleness and reverence? If so, join us as we study 1 Peter.

The Holy Spirit inspired Peter to encourage Christians who were living in a challenging time in history. Repeatedly this letter instructs Christ-followers to stay away from evil and even bless others instead of paying back evil with evil. Peter's letter is a timely, God honoring message for today.

We'll begin with an introduction to Peter the man and the historical setting during the time the letter was written. We will also have an overview of several beneficial study skills. This will prepare the group to study 1 Peter verse by verse during the 8 weeks we are together.

Taught by Lisa Hummel

Have you ever wished there was more peace in your home? Do you wonder why one of your children is messy and the other is bossy? As parents, we like to think we know our own kids, but we don't always have the full picture. Being a good mom or dad can be made easier if you understand each child is created differently and has different needs. When you understand the personality God gave them, you can accept them as they are, encourage their strengths and create a home in which your children can thrive.
