Grace Women - Guide to Joy (GCC)

When: Thursday, 10:00 AM

If you were in prison because of your faith, what would be the content of a letter you sent to a friend? Where would your focus be - on what you are experiencing (living conditions, treatment by the guards, etc.) or would you write a letter to encourage your reader, to count it all joy, encouraging her to rejoice in the midst of her pain and suffering? Would you point your reader to her relationship with the Lord and to a believer's eternal hope or would your focus be on you and your circumstances? Paul shares with us in the book of Philippians that there will be suffering, but then gives us the keys to be independent of circumstances and full of joy. Materials Needed: Bible

WHAT IS GRIEFSHARE? GriefShare is for people who have suffered the death of a loved one. GriefShare is a 13-week, Christ-centered, biblically based support group seminar. A grieving person can join at any time during the 13 weeks. Each session shows a video presentation followed by small group discussion about the video. The GriefShare videos present experts, ministers, and Christian counselors discussing grief and recovery subjects helpful to people in grief. Real people share their stories of what has helped them deal with the pain of losing a family member or friend through death. During the week between meetings, group members complete a daily Bible study and practical exercises to help them heal from grief.

Led by Nick Falkowski, this group is open to anyone 18 or older who has a passion for being outdoors. We meet the 2nd Saturday of every month, hiking at new locations with different distances and levels of difficulty. We will try to keep each hiking location within an hour of the church (Cornelius), and depending on the location and size of the group, we will either meet at Cornelius church campus and carpool, or meet at the site. Once we are there, our heart is to have someone lead a word of encouragement/devotion, and prayer before we start our hike. If people want to go on different trails or at different speeds, that is totally ok! We just want to find church family members with a common interest so that we can do life together! Spiritual Growth Plan (GCC)

When: Wednesday, 7:00 PM    Where: Grace Covenant Cornelius Campus 17301 Statesville Road Cornelius, NC 28031

Spiritual Growth Plan - taught by Pastor Farrell
Wednesday, January 8, 2020
7:00pm - 8:15pm in the Sanctuary

The secret to your success is found in your daily routines. It is discipline not desire that determines your destiny. A Spiritual Growth Plan is simply a tool to aid in pursuit of God and your personal growth and development. The reality is that we seldom live up to our God-given potential, simply because we are not intentional in the process. The Spiritual Growth Plan describes what we are going to do and is a tool to hold us accountable in the process. Start the beginning of 2020 with God-given goals and plans, and be encouraged as Pastor Farrell shows how you can reach them. For more information please email betsy@gracecovenant.org

Victory Over the Darkness is a 12 week study that spells out practical and productive ways to experience Christian growth based on Christ's promise…the promise to live triumphantly. We will study our identity in Christ, how to live by faith, walk by the Spirit, renew our mind, and manage our emotions to resolve traumas from the past. Bondage Breaker is a 2nd course taken after you complete VOTD. In order to get the most out of this course, regular attendance is encouraged.
