About Phil

Phil Manginelli serves as Lead Pastor of The Square in Atlanta, GA. He and his wife Emily have four children: Jacob, Rohan, Ariel and Cyrus. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Phil and Emily were missionaries with YWAM and then Student Ministry Pastors and Internship Directors at Mill Creek Foursquare Church north of Seattle. In late 2012, God put a burden of church planting in Atlanta on their hearts. What started as a bible study in their living room has grown into a thriving community with the vision of a kingdom movement throughout the region of Atlanta. Phil is the co-host of the Jesus Culture Podcast and the Pastors Podcast, and travels regularly to help churches and organizations understand the cultural landscape of a secular framework and how to follow Jesus in a post-Christian world.

The symposium

Biblical Sexuality: Navigating Cultural Confusion // Sept 4 // 6:45PM

As followers of Jesus we are facing unique challenges and questions around gender, sexuality, and marriage. We are a people who hold to a historic Christian conviction, yet knowing how to steward our lives in truth and love is more complicated than it has ever been. Together, we need to rediscover a Jesus-centered vision that calls us to be faithful witnesses to scripture, yet is displayed through the radical mercy of Jesus. This gathering is a moment for us to be equipped and empowered to flourish amid our cultural confusion.
